ac fan switch only works on 4

Hey guys,
I just bought a 98 blazer and the fan switch for the ac only works on 4. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks,

Ha my 96 did that, there are 3 relays under the hood right up next to the blower motor. Replace the one all the way to the left and it should work. If it doesnt then try the others. The relay was like 23 bucks or something at advance auto. If you ask them for it, its just called an a/c relay.

Not sure if your year Blazer has one, but most GM's (old and new) use a blower resistor for all fan speeds but High, and High uses a relay because of the higher current required. I have had this problem on several GM cars, and the resistor was always the culprit. Call the dealer and they could tell you. Hope this helps.

Exactly what he said, blower motor resistor...
