A/C not blowing hard

Had a place get the front of my truck to lay on 20s while keeping A/C... which meant custom blower box. The dash was taken apart, so they didn't really test it that good.

We brought it home, put the dash together and with Max A/C turned on and lever to 4, it was blowing as if it was on one, maybe 2 at best.

Got a show coming up, and I already had plans to pickup my truck from my buddy's shop a few hours away on the 13th (Sunday).. I'm leaving for a show the following Friday, so I need to get my A/C fixed pronto.

What could be causing this? I wish I didn't have to bring it all the way back to them and leave it with them for them to fix it... I don't have time!

Re: A/C not blowing hard

thats what happens when you make a smaller blower box.

only thing u could possibly do is cut the hole bigger on the firewall, and maybe on the box itself.

the box looks just like the one on my blazer. and yeah it doesnt work as good as factory. thats life

Appreciate the suggestions, but it goes a lot bigger than what you're saying... it's not supposed to be blowing how it is, I promise you.

Re: A/C not blowing hard

i've already admited to a flaw in it, the housing for the fan is to small. We have also already offered to fix it.

he didn't check it when he came to pick it up, so he drove it 3 hrs away to drop it off at another shop, and he lives considerably further. His next ordeal is that we aren't offering to pay to have his truck transported all over the state. Its an issue that we are working on.

heat, vent and defrost are controlled by vacuum. your stock vacuum canister is hooked up and we actually REPAIRED prior damaged vacuum lines during the work we did. If it isn't switching between functions... its more then likely your HVAC controls.

But my HVAC controls worked great before it was dropped off?

Re: A/C not blowing hard

Have you checked the voltage? At the highest setting the voltage should be 12-14V. The resistor is still in place right?
