99 zr2 blazer fuel sending unit
Hey guys, looking at buying a zr2 blazer from someone and here's the description
The only issue I can think of is the gas gauge acts up every once in a while. I had it looked at and it was the sending unit from the fuel tank. I just hit the tripometer every time I fill up. Just got an inspection and oil change last week. The mechanic commented on what a great vehicle it was. Overall condition for a ten year old car is about an 8 out of 10. Inside is great no burns or tears or wearing of the seats. All power options work. Blows hot and cold air. No problems with the car at all. I believe I am the second owner of the vehicle. Asking 4,500 but would let it go for best offer and so far you're only the second person who has been interested. he said he'd be willing to take 3,900. So my question is, how much should I offer him and how much would it cost to say get the fuel sending unit replaced? thanks for the help/ here's on pic, he's gonna send me more. ![]() |

how many miles? to replace the sending unit is like $300-500. pump/unit are one complete package.

It may have the wrong fuel pump. 2dr and 4dr Blazers use different ones. A 4dr one will work in a 2dr, but the it will not measure the gas level correctly.

Re: 99 zr2 blazer fuel sending unit
3900 is a tad steep but it IS worth it. appears to be super clean.
tell him you are on a budget and 3500 is the most u want to spend with the gauge WORKING so 3200 without him fixin it. |

Re: 99 zr2 blazer fuel sending unit
yea im gonna call a dealer tomorrow to see how much the job costs to get done. I'll use that to help the bargaining. I'll post pics when he sends more to me. The only bummer is that its over 100 miles away but if i can get it for the right price and its clean as he says then it'll be worth it. Now i'll just have to sell off my 2.2 dime...

Re: 99 zr2 blazer fuel sending unit
fair enough, just using it as a bargaining point. I could prolly do it with my mechanic buddy for alot cheaper. |

Re: 99 zr2 blazer fuel sending unit
133k is HIGH MILES ...
it does matter how the truck was driven and all that but 130+k is little to much ... u can find one with tons less miles { less then 100k} for about same price specialy these days, consider lookin more ... |
