98+ Blazer 2dr questions....
So its bee a couple of years from my last post here till now. Hey s10forum, how have you been?
I am going to be getting a 2Dr Blazer/Jimmy this next year and I have some questions. I currently have a 00 Noma Zq8 that has went downhill due to life issues and me being lazy. It will end up being a beater/doner for anything the blazer might need/use. So my questions... After driving a zq8 for so long I am used to the steering of it. Do the Blazer x's have the same steering box that the trucks do? If not could I swap the one in from my noma? My noma is zq8+2/3 static drop. What would be the best way to accomplish this on the suv? I don't want bags or notches. And I know I cant use the spindles or leafs from the noma. What about the zq8 coils? I am basically wanting a zq8 blazer/jimmy. I am not sure if I will be getting a Blazer x or just a standard 2dr. People want to much for the x's. Blazer/Jimmy gods please help me. |

I *believe the blazers did not have the zq8 steering box since they are more likely to rollover.
Thats the most I can help with but that's just what ive heard. |

I think that Just about all of the components would be tranferable. But not 100% sure.

This sounds like a really neat idea but since I Neva heard or seen of this kinda swap I can't give sound advice or tips.
Still gm cars are build to fit most parts from other models, might need little tweaking for perfect fitment but this should work. Last edited by pk designs : 11-15-2009 at 11:49 AM. |

Re: 98+ Blazer 2dr questions....
Thanks guys. I had thought of the roll over issue...hopefully with me intending on it being as low has my noma, that wont be an issue. I guess, unless someone else comes in here and offers some concrete evidence, it will be trial and error.
