98 blaz multiple probs

well i was wonderin if anyone else has had any of these probs with there 98 blazers? well #1 my wipers have a mind of there own, they shut off whenever they wantafter i turn them on. #2 my gas gauge bounces from E to 1/4. an now #3 i think this one has to do with the brakes. it sounds like the relay for the turn singnals when they are on. but when i put very little preasure to the break pedal it stops. if anyone has any info that might help me i would greatly appreaciate it.

I had problems with my wipers also. Check and see if wiring is clip where it connects is locked in tight. My gas gauge does the same thing also.

The wiper problem is very common........so much that I think Chevrolet should have released a fix for it.

The control board is shot, I've replaced mine twice.

The fuel gauge could be a bad sending unit or a slosh module. You will have to do some cheking to find out which one.

Re: 98 blaz multiple probs

rangers had a similar wiper problem, and it was the MFS multifunction switch inside the steering column, excessive grease and it was causing ti to short out, just had to pull it and clean it. Maybe a place to check?

That happened to me once too. cept i was driving kinda close behind some lady and my wipers decided to stop working while it was pooring out. ended up rearending her and cost me about 700 bucks. I ended up replacing the motor about 8 months ago and it has not acted up since.

I also suffer from the problem with the signal sound. it always sounds like its on when its not. Itook it to a mechanic who is a family friend and he said its common on blazer and its most likely the switch for the turn signals. ive yet to fix mine but hope that helps.
