98-02 Radio To 03-04 Radio?

my random question is, with the single din and double din openings how the radios, that i think are different.......will a single din radio beable to plug into the double din radios harness? prob a bit confusing sorry....idk if this eases it up but will a 03-04 double din radio harness plug into a 98-02 single din radio harness???? thanks for any and all help

What are you trying to plug in where? You can get adapter harnesses to plug into either. 98-02's plugs are different than 03-05's.

pluging a newer stock radio to and older stock raido like an 2oo4 blazer stock radio to a 2ooo blazer stock radio no aftermarket stock to stock

One, it physically won't fit unless you're cutting it out to fit the double din, two, you're gonna need the plug that goes into the factory radio cut from an 03-04 vehicle then get an adapter to plug into your older wiring and then splice them together.

i knew about the dash n wat not i just didnt know if the plugs were the same thanks for your time/help

nope plugs are different...and the way the radio works is different..in 02+ it reads the bcm where the 98-02 it dont
