97 blazer steering
Yo mods if im in the wrong place please move me...
Ok the steering in my 2wd 4dr blazer has gotten really sloppy. due to slop in the intermediate shaft rag joint. now i also have a 1st gen p/u and know that the shaft from an 84-94 jeep chero will with slight mods fit. is the same true for the 97 blazer? yes tire pressure is good had new ball joints done(moog) had an alignment done about 6 weeks ago none of the rest of the suspension is currently suspect Last edited by boogi man : 12-15-2005 at 09:10 AM. Re: 97 blazer steering
search for the thread on "Facts about steering slop" you will find the parts you need there. Secondly replace your stock box with a Zq8 steering box for a tighter and faster ratio.

Re: 97 blazer steering
so it looks like pretty much my only option is a hig dollar aftermarket? that blows i haven't taken the one out of the blazer yet but just to look at it it looks alot like my 1st gen truck shaft. what are the differences? anyone know?

Re: 97 blazer steering
heh mine got a bit sloppy...but it might have been because i hit a stump in a mud puddle and it tore the braket off the sway bar :-X i doubt thats your problem though
