Question 97 Blazer hesitation in O/D

I have over 200,000 miles on my 97 Blazer, everything is original. I am getting a mild hesitation in overdrive or at least I think it is. I love this vehicle and really don't want to lose it as it has been very good to me.

Also, my A/C has gone out, the compressor works but there must be a leak somewhere that I cannot see. Is there any other areas I should check that could be a probability?

The mechanic that I trusted throughout my years has died, he was so good that I am sure God has him working on his Blazer now. I hate not knowing much about this vehicle, guess I relied on my mechanic too much.
