96 Heater Core

Trying To Remove The Dash To Repalce Heater Core In 96 Jimmy Ive Been Told The Whole Dash Must Be Rem0ved To Do This. Got The Kick Plates Out And The Bolts Holding The Dash At The Bottom Seems To Be Loose At The Bottom But Not Quite There Yet.any Hint On How To Get This Thing Out. The Brackets At The Bottom Seem To Set On Some Kind Of Pins . Do I Need To Take Out The Radio ? Is It Tied Down Behind That?any Help Or Pics Would Be Greatly Appreciated

THANKS FOR THE HELP PUT IT IN THIS WEEKEND TOOK ABOUT 6 HRS AND ALOTTA SCRAPED KNUCKLES. THANKS AGAIN!

Just recently had to replace my heater core. What a major pain. The next time I have to do this to one of my blazers I will put some JBweld around the in/out tubes on the heater core. Didn't think of it then and it's too late now. This seems to be a real problem area. Good luck with yours.

Mine is clogged. JB Weld isn't going to help me here...

Did you find a link ( Or can you give me a url) to "How to remove the dash to get to Heater Core". My 96 Blazer Heater core is shot and & would like to change it myself. Thanks
