96 Blazer won't start... help

Hey guys I need some help... A guy I work with has a 96 4.3 blazer, it won't start. Shut off on him on the way home from work, he never could get it to start after that. Fuel pump is priming and working, but he hasn't checked pressure on it yet. He's gonna try to put a new crank shaft posistioning sensor in and see if that helps. If anyone has any ideas what might be causing the problem post it up here and lets us know. Thanks.
