96 Blazer Instrument Cluster

I have a 96 Blazer LS with the standard instrument cluster, can a cluster with a tachometer be swaped in and the tach work?

I believe that '97 will work also, but '98+ def won't work.

1997 will work
also make sure you check the bulbs are all working befor eyou replace it becouse its a pain in the but to have to take it out to change one bulb

i have a 1995 s10, 2.2, and I put a 97 cluster in with a tach and it works. I also pulled the air bag bulb while i was back there.

yes i forgot to say that what ever bulbs are in place for feturs that you don't have or for the ones that you dont want to have lights on for just remove the bulb they are marks and intialed so you cant miss wich one it is they are marked clear you may need a needle nose plyers and once you get it back in before tighten the screwes and get it all back together test it make sure that when you turn the headlights on that the flashers don't light up if the hazards lights all light up solid when you turnt he headlights on just make a fist and bang the right side of the cluster i have noticed this has happend 5 out of every ten time i remove and instal the cluster

Yeah i know i have trouble i am dyslexic and have a reading and spelling learning dysabilitys so i am not good with where what goes and all
but it does get to the point LOL
