Hello all,
I got a question my 96 blazer just started knocking and I tried to find a rebuild kit from a couple of auto part stores but they all say they can't get the kit and one place went as far as saying I don't know what you need even after I told him I had a rod knocking. ( elevator not going all the way up , stuck on basement floor I guess) anyway my question is this will a 4.3 from an 85 GMC Astro van work in my truck? The van is carb and my truck is fuel injected throttal body. What will I have to change on the motor to get it to work? |

Re: 96 blazer engine swap
I wouldn't even deal with that motor. It's built to be carb'd. If you put a FI system on there, nothing will work right. My suggestion would be check out ebay and find one with high mileage for cheap and rebuild it.

1985 isn't worth messing with 2 piece rear seal no roller cam option leave it alone.
