Re: 96 blazer 5spd?

Only thing I've heard of being a fairly common problem is the throw out bearing. It's pretty easy to tell if there's a problem with it because it will make a high pitched squeek as the clutch is let out. It's much more noticeable if you take off at low rpms(1500-2000) on an incline, atleast with my blazer anyway. If I rev it higher and let the clutch out more quickly it doesn't squeek, or I jsut can't hear it over my exhaust. Mine has been squeeking for the better part of 3 years now, but stopped recently. Not sure why exactly, but I figure when it goes completely then I'll worry about it.

Re: 96 blazer 5spd?

Cool thanks for the info..

Wouldnt have as many problems with the manual wearing out as opposed to the 4l60e
wearing out. I wish the place that had it was resonable about the price, then I would have
got it.I bargined with them for almost an hour any they wouldnt let it go for any less than
$3,700....maybe(if no one bought it for their stricker price of $3,995!!!!)

Insane, its only a 96!!
