95' Blazer grille
I'm looking at buying a 95' S-10 blazer, but it doesn't have a grille, so how much would a replacement cost? Also no turn signals since they were removed with the grille. Also I was wondering since I needed to replace all that, how much money would it cost to switch to the newer style grille? And how much work would that be? Thanks.

Re: 95' Blazer grille
a new grille can be had for about $30 for an aftermarket one. you can get lucky at a junk yard and get a used one for a decent price too. OEM is definitely better, but aftermarket works fine too.
to swap to a newer style grille (98+), you need to change out your core support, buy a new grille for a 98+, change out your headlights (and wire up the new ones). a new bumper would also be nice since you don't need the bumper parking lights anymore, but it is not necessary to change it or your lower valence. to do the whole 98+ swap, you can do it for about $500 realistically if you get everything new, less if you get used stuff or find a good deal. to just replace what you have missing, you can do it for about $125 going with new OEM parts or less with aftermarket or used. if you go the 98+ route, save your core support and sell it. lots of people want to go the 94-97 route to do a phantom setup since you can't do it so well on the 98+. you can defray the cost of the 98+ upgrade by selling the older style core support. thats what i did, i think i got something like $50 for it, i really can't remember. |
