95 4.3L problems

I've got a couple problems with my 95 4.3L ever since i got it.

Mainly the rear hatch wont open , but after doing some searching im going to assume its the actuator and rip it out and test it.

Secondly, my 4x4 push button selector doesnt light up at all, its in 2wd right now so not really a huge problem at the moment. But it's one of those things thats been bugging me. If anyone can lead me into which direction to start looking it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot

Bulb may be burned out.
