94 Bravada owners read please

I have a 94 s-10 4x4 ext cab with a 4.3 vortec. I just bought the truck from some guy who was going to go to jail if he didn't come up with $1000. Anyway, The engine that is in the truck the the second engine. The guy told me it came out of a 94 Bravada. I noticed very quickly while driving it that the temp gauge did not work and subsequently found the a the sensor was just hanging in the engine compartment. The hole where I would assume the temp sensor ishould go has a knock sensor that is connected. I do not have access to a stock 94 bravada and I was wondering if they have two hole in the head on the drivers side or if not where this someplace this sensor might need to be run.
