91 Blazer - Odd electrical fitting
Hello all, just joined the site, just bought my first blazer. Going over it for loose ends and I'm finding a couple of things you might be able to help me with.
1. On silver cylinder in the a/c system under the hood on the passenger side there is a large plug on it, it's round with two prongs sticking out and looks a lot like a european wall outlet. I have the wire for it, which is a female connector to accept the prongs, but I don't want to hook it up if it's going to **** with anything, so any help appreciated. 2. The truck runs great for the most part, but it idles a little high at times. If I sit on the brakes for a long period of time with having to move forward a car length every few seconds, like at an airport toll booth, the idle will go up. Came off the highway and as I came to the light I was having to really put some force on the brakes because it was idled up so high. I've checked for vacuum leaks but didn't find anything significant. Any ideas? 3. Need to replace the door and tailgate locks, know of any where online for a good turtorial on changing these out? I'm good with cars but don't have a lot of tools, still don't even have a compression gauge But I like this truck and want it running better. Again, any help is much appreciated. |

Re: 91 Blazer - Odd electrical fitting
The plug on the cylinder sounds like the A/C low pressure cut off switch. The A/C won't run without it. Go ahead and plug it in.
