4x4 Help

How do I change an encoder motor on a 94 4.3 Vortec? Is it difficult or should I bring it to a garage to get it changed out?

Re: 4x4 Help

Let me get back to you on this, my dad replaced mine. I remember it not taking him long but don't know how it was done. Also DO NOT buy the encoder motor from GM, it is like $300. There is a place on the net that you can send your old one in and get a rebuilt one back for $100. I've had mine for about 2 years and have had no problems out of it.
