4wd question
I know this sounds stupid, but it has been a long while since I had a 4wd Blazer or Jimmy. I bought one yesterday to part out. While backing it into the driveway, I accidently hit the 4 wheel low button. Now I can remember how to get it out of low
Do you have to be in park or do you have to be moving to disengage it?One other question....the radio has a CD changer. The previous owner switched ut batteries and the radio is locked out. Any tips on how to unlock it? |

Re: 4wd question
Got it out. I had to be in reverse to disengage it
So I still need to unlock the stereo as it is going into my Xtreme. Is it a simple process or one of those deals on calling the dealership? TIA.One other question comes to mind. When the battery is out, shouldn't you still be able to get the trans out of park, or is it electronically controlled? On building a 4.3, has anyone built theirs to the extreme? I'd like to redo this one to where I can see at least 350 hp. If other have went that route, what is the basic makeup of your components internally and how much can you safely bore the block before getting into trouble. I am assuming .040 would be on the safe side but would .060 over be pushing it as far as boring? And what brand of aftermarket heads do you run? Last edited by Calvin51 : 10-13-2009 at 06:34 AM. |
