4dr Rear seating vs 2dr rear seating

Hey guys, My wife and I are in the process of looking for another vehicle for her. Every Minivan we run across I find something wrong with. Now we have seen acouple 4dr blazers on craigslist in pretty nice shape. I was wondering is there any much difference on a 4dr rear seating room vs a 2 dr? We have a 01 2dr that will become mine again once we find her another since I sold my ranger and with my wife and I plus a 3yr old and a infant its kinda cramped. Just wondering if any one could chime in and say yeah or neah on would it be more room or not.

Ryan.

Go with a 4-door its a pain in the ass having a 2-door and putting things in back. Plus you have a carseat. I think the 4-doors have 3 place seating in back and the 2-door only has 2 seatbelts.

I've had one of each. Go with the 4 door.

I think you're forgetting the most important thing. They also look WAY better! lol jk Go with a 4-door, I have a car seat too, and putting it into anything 2-door sucked.

size wise, its really not much of a difference. the wheel wells aren't so far forward on the 4-dr, but thats about it. The side access makes a big difference though.
4-door

2-door

Why are you so negative all the time? Bad home life? Scarred childhood?

Re: 4dr Rear seating vs 2dr rear seating

looks are preference, here is more of a utility purpose. The 4 door is more practical for rear seat access.

Re: 4dr Rear seating vs 2dr rear seating

Thanks Guys. We are looking at a 4dr here in town. If I decide to get It I will post some pics. I will admit it isnt that much more room but its a hell of alot easier with another set of doors. And deff wider.

Re: 4dr Rear seating vs 2dr rear seating

I showed factory diagram's of the interior... there's no oppinion on how much room there is... its exactly 1" more then a 2dr blazer.

Re: 4dr Rear seating vs 2dr rear seating

More like 11.5" wider at the hip (where it counts the most). Look at the lower right drawing in each pic and compare the "HIP" measurements. And it doesn't really matter where the wheel well is. The 2 doors have the cubby holes right at the hip area.

Re: 4dr Rear seating vs 2dr rear seating

i'm aware of this, but to me, leg room is more important. I also believe most people are assuming the rear seats are further back due to the longer wheel base and rear doors.

edit: i also mentioned the width somewhat in my original post with the diagrams.

Re: 4dr Rear seating vs 2dr rear seating

There's more cargo room in the back of a 4 door with the seats up than there is in a 2 door. This is my first 2nd gen 2 door and I love the looks but miss the room and easy access I had with my 4 door.
