You're the second person that has asked that. It has a steel pipe that is almost 1/2" thick welded in there. I sat it flush and ground all the welds down and then put a little filler over that and blocked it. It's been done since the 1st of last winter and I've towed my boat with it a few times with no problems at all.

I don't think anyone on here has seen a flush mount notch before.

4drs are better because the window trim/weather stripping doesn't rot! They're just built better that way I guess!

Everyone i know refers to them as pipe notch's. Just a little cutting and plating to gain a little bit of clearance. Nothing special.
