2001 Blazer X ?

Hey,
I went to go see a Burgundy Blazer X today, and the rear window pillars looked so dried, sun faded, burnt. Has this happened to other xtremes here in Florida or other sunny states??
What can be done to fix this?
Thanks for the info

Re: 2001 Blazer X ?

if your talking about the trim on the q-panel glass then the answer is yes they do fade out and its very normal its not a xtreme blazer thing its a 95-up blazer/jimmy thing

I am in complete agreement with s10w. My parents had a 1999/2000 Jimmy and the same thing happened to that. I remember seeing all kinds of black items like that crap out like you wouldn't believe. Do what everyone else is recommending, have them paint matched or painted black.

Re: 2001 Blazer X ?

Not to bring back a dead post but mine are really really bad... As soon as I get my front clip back on, today or tomorrow that is my next project to rattle can them... I'm afraid they are eventually going to rot away to nothing... I was thinking of using the black bumper paint but I think i'd have a smoother finish if I did high build flexible primer, followed by a flat black basecoat and some rattle can clearcoat... Anyone else tried this route yet? I'm def. going to do before and after pics...

What kind of paint did they use? Looks very texturized, unlike the factory smooth... I kinda like it...

I have a 2002 Blazer and mine is faded, not on the rear, but the trim around the top of the side rear window glass.. Anyone else have this???? How much is that trim cause it isn't connected to the glass from what I can see

You must not have read up in the post... S10warehouse stated that it's molded with the glass. My dealer told me the same thing back in May... Its around $800... So best deal is to paint it. S10warehouse sometimes has them for a few hundred bucks... But good like catching one when he has them.

I read all the posts...

The part I am talking about is not connected to the glass. I am talking about the black trim above the glass.. I know the one part is part of the glass.. The part I am talking about isn't... I'll have to take a picture... its the Trim around the window

s10warehouse Help.....
