2000 Jimmy outside thermometer
I bought a 2000 gmc jimmy 2door 4x4. It has the compass/thermometer in the overhead console. The temperature always reads way warmer than it actually is. It there a sensor that I can replace to correct this? I mean it said 140 farenheit the other day. It was like 90 out. Thats not even close.

Re: 2000 Jimmy outside thermometer
I think on the blazer/jimmy etc there are multiple temp sensors something like 5 all over the outside and what they do is average the temp together so I would say one of yours fell out of its correct position and close to the engine or exhaust

I'm not too surprised though, mine seems a little off also. But only ten degrees or so it seems |

Re: 2000 Jimmy outside thermometer
I think the one by the core support is for other gm cars/truck with the temp in the rear view mirror
