2000 GMC Envoy HID Xenon Headlights

HID Xenon Headlights are a pain. This came from the factory like this starter #16526104 and a bulb went out. First I checked the Owners manual for a possible bulb number, "....for HID lamps consult a GM service center". Ok, called the stealership, " GMC never offered HID lamps in a 2000 Envoy" was their response. I told them it states it in the manual his response was those manuals are genaric. I gave him the part # of the ignitor "no such part, it must be after market. So here I am, I suspect it is a D2S lamp but instead of an angled plug this drops straight into the ignitor (Or it looks like it does). First how does it come out? (pull, twist, torch??) second what is it D1S,D2S, D2R ?? For a $100 part you would think the stealership would know, but you guys seem to know a lot more. Help and Thanks

Its D2S and you cant just buy the bulb. You have to buy the whole ignitor and its not cheap either:

My advice, buy an aftermarket D2S HID kit.

I'll be going to a pick and pull yard this weekend. Any ideas what years and models would plug in. I know there are several Denali's and Safaris there.

Safaris didnt come with HID.
And I know there wont be any Envoys there.
Doubtful of Denalis as well.

But if you find ANY type of vehicle in the pick n pull yard, make sure you get both left and right bulb, ignitor and ballast and be prepared to have to make them fit and work on your car.

$70 shipped for an eBay plug n play HID kit. Just buy it.

I already know there are 2 Denali's and several other GM/GMC SUV's,a Bravada came in last night dunno if the had an HID option though.I know the owner of the yard and he's gonna check them out tomorrow ( $20 per side), if they have what I need I'll take off work and pull em. I'll probably pull the harnesses as well just incase of different plug connectors. If not I'll go with the kits. Thanks for the replys

my 02 denali doesnt have hid. the headlights are just projectors.
and a bravada is just a plain gmc sonoma or jimmy headlight.. nothign fancy
