2000 Bravada floor shifter in 2004 Blazer...any issues?

I have an '04 Blazer (4 dr if it matters) with the column shifter. I'd like to swap to a floor shifter but want to make sure it won't affect anything. I have a digital gear selection display (PNR...) at the bottom of the gauge cluster (of course). My truck also locks/unlocks the doors when shifting out of/in to Park. I want to make sure I keep these features. Will any OEM (S10 based) floor shifter work? Or will I be stuck with the column shifter? Is there anything specific I need to do to make a floor shifter work? Is the gauge cluster mounted PND display and Park/lock/unlock feature tied to the column shifter or the tranny? I'm currently looking at a floor shifter from a 2000 Bravada if that matters but I'd like the info for any year floor shifter in case this deal falls through.

FWIW, I did this to my old(er) '96 Jimmy (RIP) a few years ago but it didn't have the lock/unlock feature this one does. I don't know how different the early and late 2nd gens are.

Thanks for the help, all!

Anyone? C'mon, guys. I know it's been done before, I just don't know if it was done without losing any features.

i'm not a expert at this, but i just done mine and i didnt have any issues. the lock function is disabled. but the indicator on the dash will still work. its controled by the switch on the side of the trans. i spliced into the hvac controls to get power for the lights on the shifter. u should be alright.

Just did the swap this weekend. No real issues other than the cable slipped off the tranny lever once, the center console is in pretty poor shape and the new steering column surround won't bolt up to the column (OEM in my '04 seems to use a clip). Everything else went smoothly. I gotta get my truck lifted though as it was damn near impossible to squeeze under the truck.
