2000 blazer help

I have a 2000 Chevy blazer. I just noticed that the service 4wd light came on and all the lights are on, auto,2wd,4hi,n,4lo I also hear a weird clicking noise also. any help would be nice thanks. Also is it expensive to fix?

You need to find a factory service manual. This is covered on page 4-232.

You need to first read the codes in the TCCM

Position the ignition switch to OFF for at least 5 seconds
With a jumper wire, connect pin 13 on the data link connector to a vehicle ground.

Turn the ignition switch to RUN

The shift select buttons will start blinking to identify stored DTC's.

Each code will flash and there will be a 3 second delay between codes.

The number of flashes will indicate the code number.

There are about 15 different codes

Sounds like an encoder motor failure.

It's expensive at a dealership, not expensive if you research the problem (using a GM Factory Service Manual) and shop for any parts you require.
