2000 Blazer Help

The wife and i just bought a 2000 4 door 4 wheel drive blazer...I have had it for a day now and its great love it. The problem i am having is that when i am going down the highway at 65 miles an hour it starts to shake a little. I was told it could be the tires need balanced or it could be a bent rim. I went and had the tires balanced and it still does it. Could it be a bent rim or something else? I dont know much about blazers as this is my first one and i like it alot. If anyone knows about what it might be let me know please. Trying to figure this out. lol. Thanks.

Re: 2000 Blazer Help

Check the front end parts.

Does it hum or get worse while turning? If so your wheel bearings may be bad.

Re: 2000 Blazer Help

jack the front end up and check for exsesive play... grab the tire when its up in the air and try to shake it up and down and left to right... if something is bad you will hear an audible clunk... could be balljoints or tie rods... or the bearing could be bad... spin the wheel while its up in the air and it should make a sound if its bad..

Re: 2000 Blazer Help

How many miles are on it?
How do the tires look?
Check the things mentioned in the above posts.
Without additional information, it could be a bent wheel, suspension or driveshaft balance, or U-Joint issues.

Start with the basics.
