2 Door Blazer with dual exhaust outlets.

Does anyone have a 2 door Blazer with exhaust outlets on both the passenger and driver's side?

I have seen it but most shops won't do it because the pipe gets real close to the gas tank

Yeah, you can not safely run exhuast on the drivers side due to limited space with the gas tank. A shltty hack shop may say they'll do them for you, but you should have more sense then to let them work on your vehicle. Any shop that knows what they are doing will not do do it.

Re: 2 Door Blazer with dual exhaust outlets.

Thanks for the info guys. So i'll go 3.00" piping from the cat in to the flowmaster. And go 2.50" after the muffler all the way back. I think 3.00" after the muffler is a lil overkill and would only increase the interior resonance. I also dont want to sound like a civic with no exhaust and a 6" tip. This is a pretty solid setup right?

Sorry to hijack this thread..but I am thinking of getting an 05 Blazer 2dr..and this exhaust question was something I planned to ask. Could you duel out through the middle ? or even single it with a duel tip ? or is that still pushing it..Could people please post 2nd gen exhaust systems

The gas tank sits mainly in the rear center, so no space to exit pipes dead center.. You could put a dual tip, but it'll just look like a dual tip, it won't fool people into thinking you have duals.

Re: 2 Door Blazer with dual exhaust outlets.

It'd be a task, but I think running a dual exit setup would be sweet on one side with dual tips. Kinda like some of the older fullsizes did. I've got a tip coming straight out the back (in my avatar) and I think it'd look pretty good to have one right next to it, but functional. If you could squeeze two pipes in where the stock pipes are run, I think it'd look good. Chances of squeezing that are slim though.

Re: 2 Door Blazer with dual exhaust outlets.

i would say you could do it but take heat wrap for headers and wrap it where the exhaust come close to the gas tank.

that should take care of any problems with heat/gastank

Re: 2 Door Blazer with dual exhaust outlets.

I dont think 4dr's are a problem, I think because 2dr's are a fair bit more compact the problem arises. I would love a clean duel exhaust, even a single with duel pipes but it doesnt look like its in the cards, the gas tank is on the drivers side as is the gas filler neck. I can deal with a nice single exhaust with a clean chrome tail pipe

Re: 2 Door Blazer with dual exhaust outlets.

I have a 95 2dr blazer with duel pipes out the back and I had them set in the inside of the frame rails I didn't like them on the outer sides seemed spaced to far apart for my taste. The place I chose had no trouble they do hot rods and so on, I had them placed on the inside of the frame rails/leaf springs. The pipes have a slit bend because of the gas tank but meet right with the bumper at the exact same angle as the back plastic pieces on the quarter panels. It's completely safe the tips never get hot enough to burn or ignite anything not to mention there is a plastic cover over the gas tank. I love the way it looks and sounds I also had the hole thing done in stainless steel. It's not as hard on 4 doors because the tank in not in the back like the 2 dr they have the spare tire instead which can be moved.
