1st Gen tire carrier fitting 2nd gen?
I need an external swing-out tire carrier for my 97 2dr 4x4 and I was curious if there was any way a 1st gen tire carrier would fit. Have you ever heard of an aftermarket tire carrier? I may end up fabricating one either from a 1st gen or Wrangler...

they are all over salvage yards.... also adding a tire carrier to a blazer that did not have one from the factory is not a good idea. There are factory brackets on the rear tailgate (on the inside) and a brace on the rear quarter panel. My point, you need to really brace the sheet metal...... good luck getting in from behind the panel too......... otherwise it will dent all to hell |

uh, 95 and up blazers are second gen...... in 98 they changed the front grill and everything else sheet metal wise is the same from 95-2005 |
