01 Bravada

Im thinkin about buying a onyx black old bravada awd... the only thing is the awd...is it the same powertrain as the 4x4 blazers or what... can it be lowered or lifted without messing the awd up?

Re: 01 Bravada

yeah same basic setup as all 95+ blazer 4x4's, with the exception that the t-case is computer controlled, and is suppose to be 2wd under normal conditions and then power is needed it transfers automatically, from the wheels that slip to the wheels that grip.....lol

but they had soem problems with chatter from the t-case, under low speed turning feels like your in 4 low and the front tires skipping on the ground, a factory fix is to flush out the t-case and put in new fluid, but there is also a TSB to remove the front propshaft and if the chatter goes away its the t-case if not its the rear diff, my bravada had the problem in the case, but i did the frame swap before doing anything else, i did pull the atc fuse in the underhood fuse box and gained alittle over 1mpg overall.`

other than that they are nice, i love the auto climate control, seats are comfy. i bought mine with 43K miles for 6800, if you can get a good deal, i say go for it.
