01 Blazer tranny swap

I have an 01 2WD 4.3L blazer with the automatic tranny and I want to put the 5 spd in it. I've already contemplated just finding a blazer with a 5 spd in it already but I don't want to get rid of the one I have. I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction in what all is involved in this swap. What components will need to be taken from the donor vehicle and will the 5 spd from a S-10 work in my blazer? I know that the suspension parts aren't compatible after 2000.
