01 Blazer, Puttin 2102's with ZQ8 wheels they wont turn!!!

I have an 01 Blazer that I just bought a set of Belltech 2102's for and when I put them on the wheels wont turn. Im guessing they are hitting the calipers because I cant find them hitting anything else. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it besides running spacers? Any help would be greatly appreciated I am working on it right now lol.

Are they the new style or the old style ZQ8's?

How do I tell if they are the new or the old? No the steering wheel isnt locked the wheels wont roll. I tokk them off a few times and cant see any scratches anywhere where they could be hitting.

No the spindles are fine I bought them off a guy who had them on a blazer. I ground down the arms where they were hitting so I know its not that. I can turn the steering wheel lock to lock no problem.

Re: 01 Blazer, Puttin 2102's with ZQ8 wheels they wont turn!!!

Im gonna guess its the wheel offset.
IIRC, the spindles dont just lower your truck 2", they also push the tie rods out an inch too (I think).
I know i had original irocs on my Blaze then when I put the BT spindels on, the tie rods hit the rims (as did the rear shock plate)

The tie rods arent hitting at all. There not hitting the fenders or anything else either. Its gotta be the calipers just wondering if there is a quick fix besides spacers.

Nope its a 2wd. Tried to pull it out of the garage and it squeals like a pig. Gonna go take it back apart in a min and see if theres any scratches where its hitting.

Re: 01 Blazer, Puttin 2102's with ZQ8 wheels they wont turn!!!

I have a 3/4 drop on it right now before I put the spindles on and the wheels worked fine. I put the spindles on and they wont turn. I put my 20's on and didnt seem to have the problem when it was in the air. Its gotta be the calipers.

Re: 01 Blazer, Puttin 2102's with ZQ8 wheels they wont turn!!!

Well thanks Im heading back out to the garage to see what I can figure out. Were heading up north friday so have to get this shit done. Gonna put my 20's on and see if they turn. Prob gonna have to just take the spindles off till I get the money for spacers and longer wheels studs. If anyone finds any info please keep me posted. Thanks.

Re: 01 Blazer, Puttin 2102's with ZQ8 wheels they wont turn!!!

Well I figured it out. The rims are hitting the little black bar that runs across the front of the calipers. Might just keep the wheels on and let them wear them down some or may put in longer studs and a washer on each stud. They are barely hitting so dont think either way would be a problem.

Re: 01 Blazer, Puttin 2102's with ZQ8 wheels they wont turn!!!

just grind down the stopper...ive heard several guys bitch about having to grinf it down as well as thier upper control arm and they've never had a problem after that...to my understanding you dont have to take it all the way down...just like a 8th to 1/4 inch...i havent personally done it yet cause im not running huge tires and rims
