01 Blazer, Gas gauge broke?

Bought a 01 blazer, gas gauge constantly reads E and says Low fuel. It will drive for about 20-30 Miles then die, fuel pump won't kick on nothing. But if you put about 2 gallons of gas in it, it will fire right up.

MY question is, is the sending unit and fuel pump all 1 assembly. I'm about to replace it and I see the best 1 at autozone is $300+ which is no biggie. But I'm trying to fix this problem all in 1 shot.

Yes, The sender unit and fuel pump come together as a unit. I heard some where that there is suppose to be a kit to just fix the sender part, but I never could find one, so I just went ahead and replaced the whole thing.

same here when I first bought my truck the gas gauge didnt work right either. about a year later my fuel pump crapped out. comes together

Car lot ended up splitting the pump with me, everything is beautiful now. Fuel gauge works perfect.

So that problem is fixed, but when I bought the blazer the cluster plastic was cracked. How would I go about fixing this, I seen it looked to be glued down. So I would have to order a direct replacement thats already disassembled, any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

get one from s10warehouse on ebay. theyre like $10-15. you pull the bezel off, then the cluster out, and it clips on the back. the clear plastic and black part are one piece

*edit - they musta went up in price. you can find one cheaper, but here's what i was taking about:

Thanks chief, exactly what I was looking for. I was trying to get your number earlier but couldn't.

I bought this blazer off the car lot cheap with knowing a couple of the problems, the squeaking breaks being 1 of them. What do you guys/brian make of this?
