Lightbulb 00 bravada

Hi kinda new here just wondered how hard it would be to swap a 4.2 and awd out of a newer bravada into my 2000 bravada with its crappy 4.3l in it. Having all kinda of problems with the 4.3 and i wanted to pull a small trailor with this truck so i though a 4.2 with alittle more power would work nicely. I checked the searches and everyone seems pretty set on a v8 swap : / I love my awd so any thoughs on how i can get a more efficent motor and still keep my awd im all for.

Re: 00 bravada

those are very good engines, you would have to make custom mounts and wiring harness. i don't know if its been done before.

Re: 00 bravada

I believe the engine is too tall and too long to work in an S series. There's not a whole lot of room for a V8, try adding another 2 cylinders in front of that! Stick with the tried and true V8 swap. It will be cheaper, easier and more power in the long run.
