Re: wiring diagram

Whats wrong with that diagram? It shows all and the only other thing not in the diagram that the fuse powers is two leads to the ECM. But the diagram has the fuse labeled as ECM B. Look up the diagram on autozone.com in the repair section.

Re: wiring diagram

i tried the autozone website, and all i get are little red x's.
and the reason i believed that the ECMB fuse powered more is that the chltons had a pink wire that was involved with the oil pressure sending switch, ignition, fuel pump, and something else.

i guess ill goi with this one then, and see what i get. iff all it does is power the ECM and fuel pump, though, i should be safe to string all new wires to bypass the short, correct? wont have to take anything else into account?

Re: wiring diagram

My Chilton's (the fat one by Chilton's book company, not the thin one by haynes) shows an orange wire from that fuse. Two go to the ECM (C16 and B1) and one goes oil pressure switch and fuel pump relay. That would be for the 2.5 and 4.3. the 2.8 has the same but instead of two only one wire to the ECM (C16).

Re: wiring diagram

got it last nigh. it was the orange wire tapped into the circuit that also went to an oil pressure switch. the switch loosened and melted to my exhaust.
its fixed and running again. im going to drive it to the lumberyard and back today, and well see how it works.

Re: wiring diagram

I need to know if anyone has a wiring diagram for a 1988 2.5 liter S10. I recently purchased a 1988 S15 that had water damaged and a 1988 S10 with no engine. I started the S15 and the engine ran as lone as I sprayed fuel into the throttle body (short in the electrical system to the fuel pump). The motor was removed from the S15 and installed in the S10. I tried to start the engine, the starter would turn the engine but no fire was getting to the spark plug, I then noticed that turn signal lights and the high beam indicator were illuminated with the key turned to the off position. The rotor and the distributer cap were both replaced prior to installing the engine into the S10. If anyone has an answer to this problem please reply.

Hey don't forget the cost of the paper and the envelope. Or you could save the images and send them email. But then you would need to figure out a percentage of what you pay your ISP to charge for the time it took to save and send a pic on the web.

Re: wiring diagram

Yes I do give out stuff for free. I have given away books and computer software that I purchased new, at no cost to the other people (and yes I did mail them and paid for that out of my pocket as well, small items=low cost postage). Not long ago some people had posted on craigs they needed a cooler so I gave them one that I was going to put in my garage. But they came and picked that up. If you want I have a fuel tank you can have if you want to pick it up
