Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

Thats a bunch of crap.
I like how there was a newer member, with a total of 15 post, that said the OP is a long time member with lots of post (like they have been long time forum buddies there). I looked and you have been there longer and have 6 times more post!
But its a leason I learned a long time ago. Don't jump the gun, wait until the parts are in your hands. Lot of people make that mistake though. Come to the shop on a friday with a poor running vehicle and need it for their vacation they are leaving on Saturday morning and are crying how much a bind they are in when the repairs will take longer. Never thinking they should have gotten things fixed well before setting off on vacation.
Hope the shit comes in for you. That long time member with lots of post sounds like a BSer

Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

Just all sucks as Im gonna hafta do things all different now. I did have a plan.

Hate to even consider it but gonna hafta say yes to taking the MSD box he says was in the smaller box of stuff he/they "found" at the post ofice.
[Why they would have it still is beyond me.]

And im making him do everything in the open, no PMs this time.
So everyone can see.

Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

Well the post office thinks is a wonderful hystory making news worthy day when they deliver a letter 100 years late and its worth a celebration. I think it just shows their huge incompetence and is not a bragging right.

But that is odd how they only found one box and it happens to be the one with the MSD and not the blower. Why were they in seperate boxes? Does he have a reciept showing he sent these boxes? It would have either the number of boxes, the weight or both. I forget but I keep my reciept and they do show some kind of proof.

Thats a shame. The way I see this is it is not the money but the fact that there is a blower lost too you.
Could be worse, could have gone through shit-e-bay and be totaly fvcked.
I have purchased from there before, get broken items, when I find out the seller is no longer a user, cleaned out his paypal account and shit-e-bay cleared out the record of this in an attempt to decieve me. When there is no money in a papal account they don't cover you and will not pay.

Even if and when you get your stuff it should not have needed to go too this. The guy must have needed a flame put under his ass which should not be needed.

Yep I was not gonna let this drag out till xmas to hear excuses why he don't have money to refund or ship anymore.

Cause xmas is gonna be tight for everyone this year.

Only thing on my list is an engine hoist n load leveler, as the s15 was gonna get put on the road one way or another. Just glads that just slapping in the high mile 2.8 is not my only option again.

I need time to work on my 2.8 Firebird N E ways but need a V6 of some type on the road. Even with a blower the 2.8 will get better mileage then my 12ton V8 wagon that need 5gal of gas daily.
[ I run lite n only buy 5 at a time. Just more fun lite, not to really save anything. That 22gal tank gets heavy quick.]

Well he has posted a tracking number in the thread on TGO but I dare not check it. They can take a day or so to track. I know that first hand as I ship allot of stuff. Sometimes they tracking info online isn't updated until delivered.

Ahhh I see.
But its not that easy too see without some investigation and I really did not give a crap to do so. I don't know nor care for those at TGO and the names are not imported from one forum to the other as you know.
Might not been such a good idea to link his misplaced free advertisement in here.

He put it in the off topic section, the mods moved it to 60* so it must be fine.

Unless this is a business I would think just post your stuff in the classifieds. Then put in your signature "check my shit out in the classified". I know you don't go starting threads of jacking any too sell your goods.

if i were u i would find some fi heads to swap onto that motor instead of using the carbed heads .

whats the piece comming off the carb adapter? egr port?

any chance u can get some pics of the bottom of the blower?? wanna see how they mounted it, i have a feeling its the same as the adapter ive been designng to bolt and eaton m90 onto a stock lower manifold

Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

It is a carb/egr adapter, the kit was made to be put on a stock engine and keep everything.

I do need to take it all apart to clean it, ill get pic.

But so far it looks as if it all bolts on from the bottom, so you could never pull the blower without taking off the intake.

I do need to come up with a coog belt crank pully though.

Hmmm looks to be almost 4 per inch, 3/4in wide.

Its a gates syncropower HTD timing belt
1440-8M-20 made in usa 4A

I did install the MSD today on my V8 car and it works, though it was down on power once installed. But looking around the MSD forum you gotta run certain wires 6-8+ inches away from each other to no get RF cross talk, probably why some come out on different ends. Though it was just a test install, quick n ugly, gotta re-do it all.

You're gonna need a number of pullies to do some tuning, get em all!

I used the MSD Super Condutor wires on my Camaro with a MSD box and no special routing and it worked fine. It was though not a great improvement over the stock ignition with a performance coil.

give me a day or 2 and ill have u all the pulleys u could want.

there gonan require machine work though, they will be blank faced pulleys, i.e they will be solid except for a 1/2 - 3/4 hole in the center, but if u have acess to a lathe and or a drill press iu can drill ur own bolt patterns in them etc.

whats the diamiter of the blower pully and whats the drive ratio supposed to be on it so i can find u somethign close to a stock pully to use, along with some to turn the boost up

I was hoping the dual spark up to 3000 would help mileage a bit, even 1/2 more MPG would be good, since it spends most of its time in the 2-3000 range. But I probably lost 3-4MPG on my test run to the store for some better wire n spade connectors.

I hope that re-doing things helps other wise it will come off.
Just glad it wasn't full price.

Not sure on ratio, still waiting for 614 to chime in, the king of these fageol suckers. Id be fine with just coming up with a crank pulley for now.
So I can mock everything up on the spare 2.8

Gonna be a while till its in use. Late summer probably.
I gotta work out side for the most part. Do have a carport I could use but id have to rush it, I like to take my time to lessen mistakes. Pull it in the soft grass, jack it all up n work at my leisure. Why I was pushing him though I would of waited forever. If I had gotten everything right away…..
Id be driving it.

N yea I can drill n fab some as needed. Got a press and with my cross slide vise can do some old school simple machine work. [How they did it back in the day before CNC.]

Can kinda see the crank one in this pic of his, but he went to a serp setup so I got no full sized pic. Im betttin its the same size as the water pump one ehy? [WP pulley from tip of tooth to tip of tooth is 6 1/2in.]

Not sure if its just sitting on the belt right way around. Id think the forward part in pic jetting out would go inside the stocker?

hey just an idea but if u can remove the blower pully and measure the inner bore , im thinking u could use an m90 style pulley which would eliminate the need for alot of fab work
