I did not do anything. I never cared for thirdgen.org so I never joined. I saw a message that stated I was viewing as a guest and it would be limited.
I dunno

Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

I just had to refresh and walk away for a minute

Not sure about that hatch but Hurst Performance/ C&C (cars and concepts) madea hatch like that when the third gen Camaro first came out. Later on that one came (may also be by the same company) and that recessed area is suposed to have some fake louvers, Like the 85+ Z28 hood, so it looks like a Testa Rosa engine cover.

Oh and that tach should have gone in the front so its Knight Rider-ish

Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

The only hatch I could find like it, came in the Ferearri kit but had a fat square rear lip with a 3rd brake light in it.

Did ya catch them last two links I edited in?

Not sure what year Z you got.
Thats my concept build of a Z28 roadster.

Basically jump in the back seat then pull the front back till comfy.
Was cheaper to do a test build like that

Ha, a model nut!
My younger bro and I are model nuts also (not sure on how that sounds....)
We liked getting the 3in1 kits for all the extra parts. I have a 50 Chevy PU and a couple funny cars and am using the motor and rear end and tires and such from the funny cars in the pick up.

And we both have die cast cars all over the place. Too much dusting to do. I have a bunch of Mac Tools/Action racing NHRA funny cars and drag bikes and such I want to see go!

neat, kinda assumed you had a 2nd gen F body, as they seem to be the only ones who celbrate their z28 option. Is a whole site just for 2nd gen z28s somewhere.

Here is the info on the GSX model build.
I use 2, 2in 1 kits.

the z28ster was a real test build though.
Id like to make one. But even home made the steel to make a jig to hold everything in place right to slide it together would be $$$ unless I "find" the steel.

Gonna crap myself if I get it.
Guy on TGO forget he had a blower and intake for a 60* engine from when them kits were made. He stil lhas 90% of it or all the major parts. He first said $250, then all of a sudden he say $50 as he is moving soon.
Im 2nd on the list to get it.
Send some more of that good carma that helped the truck deal go through....

Hey now
It ouwld be two days in a row for me. I had to shit myself yesterday when I found a short card register display HWs red GSX.
http://thirdgenchat.org/GSX/gsxreds.jpg
Still need a good 8 more reg card red ones for the collection.
I like to get 10 of each plus a few to open n play with.
Red is the rarest of the 3 colors they did.
Fingeres cross for a black n gold. Got my fill of yellow n white.
But id take any in a short card.

Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

350X,
you're way more into collecting them than I am. I like to open the packages and play a bit. My brother did find a 64 Chevelle hot wheel size die cast. He is looking for more so he can save one in the package but his 1.5 year old got the other. 64's are just about unheard of as the 65 is more popular. We would go to car shows where they sell die cast and he would ask for a 64 and I would act like a stranger that over heared and start laughing. that would piss the seller off and they would try to prove me wrong.

JTC,
I live in your basement and eat the salami from your fridge for free anyway. You gonna cut me off???

There is a young guy that lives about 400-500 miles south of me that has a Camaro and he always asks me questions on how to fix something on it (he even calls a lot). He said I am his mentor....... I said to him, "may God have mercy on your soul".

Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

Yea, im gonna have the original motor from the truck which is low miles, that can be preped for it a bit better then my 220,000mile motor. As is it just needs the crank turned for one rod journal.

But just for a display piece it will be cool.
Got a big old mixing board not long ago free, one of the best for its time.
Everyone wants it, its wall art for me. Takes up space above the TV unit.

[I do know a 7 channel mini version was for sale used for $300, I got 24 channels.]

I do know if you want to have the best sounding 80s band, you need one.

Sort of like how older folks rather listen to a record then a CD.

All new fancy digital stuff might be the best.
But I think we all can agree that the 70s-80s rocked and analog mixers and tube amps is the way to go over fancy digital stuff.

Gotta have a mxing board. Helps some of these guys sound better
But I am happier with CDs'.
Nick Cage when asked why would he spend $700 on a beetles album when he could buy the Cd for $14, "I'm a beetle maniac and these sound better." Yeah I like the beetles when they are drowned out by hiss, crackle and pop.

Im about that bad, killer stereo, speakers n amps in both cars right now.
But all I listen to are 128K MP3s burned to disc. Which means I can't turn it up to loud or mostly beyond half way as it will sound just awful.

Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

I used to be about that killer stereo. The car in my avitar, I took out the back seat (was the most comfortable seat btw) and built an eclosure that took up a large amout of space as I have free air 12" woofers. Closed off the back inside the trunk and have my amps there. It hit pretty good for a guy on a budget stereo build.
Now I got a 200 watt amp and two tens in the back of my Camaro. Noting additional to tune it like in the old Fiat and it needs to have the amp adjusted for better bass but its no biggy anymore to me.

ohh ok,
Well I had a MSD in my 84 Z28. That car rode rough. Real Rough because I had poly graphite bushings in it. Also I was in a front end accident and after all that and the box mounted solid it still worked.

Oh and I think you are getting such a deal on that blower, its only what...$15 more? Not like its a great loss if it does not work. More art work

Yea I know it just $15 but Im running that fine like of ok or ruin.
Spent allot this month. [got any friends with motorcycle that need saddle bag guards I cut catalog prices by 90% in some cases. $30 any bike.]

That signal thread was odd, I was ready to go off on the guy for asking twice, but it wasn't the same person, just the same question.

Though it does happen, but odd.

Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

I used to be like, "shit its only $15 why not". But now I am like, "fvck.. $15 for a part that was easily $150+ new.... Should I.... Fvck!" But you might want it after you install that blower on something so it may be best to get it while you have the chance.

I do know some one that may want some gaurds. They are the part that holds the bags off the wheel and suspension? She has a harley and complains about not having that part. I on the other hand don't run with bags on my Ducati.

Search is hard for some people for reasons unknown to me. I have searched before and found nothing due to not knowing what key words to search for. But that is no excuse in this other persons case as his would have been a simple search and could have scrolled down a ways and seen it fresh. I have also seen others post their question and then start another thread with the same question and maybe at times an added question. I dunno know why. I hate jumping from thread to thread to answer the same persons same question twice!

I used to be a Tucker Rocky dealer. It was part of my automotive and motorcycle service shop. I loved the close outs! I got myself a $180 pair of leather riding pants (honda licensed) for about $20. Stock up on close out gloves that were normaly $75 or so and sell for $50 when I paid $20. Made me look like a sweetheart

Do ya have a pick of the bracket and a cost so I can inform my friend? Maybe if you can figure shipping to 95605

The 83-85 had them cool dashes 86-93 has ugly dashes i think lol and i Have a 86 But i bought a dash from a 85 to restore and swap out. You should drop a 400 bored .30 over (406 ci) with a 400 turbo and 373 12 bolt posi rear you will need to weigh down the rear end some how though.

Well you just gotta make a stand and keep the cars you love.
Though it may take parking it for some time and stubmling into parts that get you back into it. Finding that notch back was the savior for it.

Re: Well I scored it 85 S15 77,000 miles $200

Butthead neighbor comes home from vacation where I was told he was sick the whole time so hes moody, 2 bad. And then bitches that my truck is 2in over the line / the bumper and rear corner are over the line, not the tire. Its in the back corner under a tree where I put a stone parking spot a few years back; green marker.
I parked it so that from his yard and drive you only see the front which is really nice, put a tarp over the bed as it has the engine and parts in it.
All to be nice, so it didn't look like crap.
But he bitches through other neighbors to let me know its over the line.
So now the tarp is off, and it parked at the far back corner of our lot right next to his main lot; blue marker. Now every time he pulls in he can get a good look at the whole truck.
We don't use that back corner as it so close to him [guess why]
and where it was, was in the dogs way anyways.
So unless he comes over to apologies first, then asked, Ill glady put it back where it was under the tree but not till then.
Yea I know, be the bigger man, naaa tired of that ahole.
Also there are no laws around here. If so the kid on the corner would be gone. Has no license but his mom has bought him 4 cars and about a dozen motobikes. And he is out there all day and night, even in the wee am, driving around in circles with no where to go in a tiny fenced in yard. Oh and he removed the exhaust from them all, not just the muffler;
so it "cool" sounding.
But then can't get why they don't run for crap after a while.

Its like that though, ever few year we must be extra rude in return for him to get it and then its livable again.

But just cause the rear hung over the line was one dumb thing to bitch about.

Guy is lucky my trailer full of real junk didn't end up back there under the tree, [If it wouldn't fall apart from being moved.....]

Still waiting for the blower to arrive to see where I am at. Mike Fagoel is still around and helpful, Will sell anything ya need to get one going again.
Dunno if he is eager for a sale on left over or just like chatting but has emialed me twice to send him my number so he can call. I keep saying lets wait till I got the thing and will know what I need first

I think ya gotta put wanted in the classified and I don't know if there is a cost for that. Being its a multi port, am I right? If so the I would not bet on any S truck's computer would work. Try Craigslist.org in your surounding areas. Its free soi it does not hurt to post a wanted.

Well it looks like im getting screwed on this, even if I get most of my money back on the blower that is "lost".

Who would ship parts like that with no tracking,
he did though.
If I was told as such I would of sent more $.

WHAT! No blower!
That pisses me off! Most of the time on things like that I would ship only UPS. Cost more than USPS but you get real good tracking (not the piss pore tracking of the USPS) but the first $100 is insured.
Thats screwed!

You can read most of it here
http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/v6...i-had-lil.html

Still not buying it 100%, and will stand by my offer to pay more if I ever get it.

Search his name on google and you can find I posted it on dozens of sites, including here, since it is s10-s15 60* engine parts.

Worst is Im all behind, I got two possiable gas savers 60* cars down waiting for said parts [frirebird/s15] buring up gas in the V8 wagon.
