Exclamation S10 rat rod

Hey all. I'm building a car for a customer of mine and need some parts, also to be pointed in the direction of where to find aim products like the tubular control arms with the mounting plates already fabed into the arm for the air bags. Thank you all. Also if you have suggestions please feel free to tell me. You can also get in touch with me at facebook.com/curtsauto Thank again.

Re: S10 rat rod

Do they have to be AIM products? Suicide Doors, Michigan Metal Works, for the control arms.

BUT.....None of us have any idea what the heck you are trying to do (rat rod s10?) How do we know what parts you need? A TRUE rat rod, which wouldn't be an S10 truck, would use anything/parts that can be had.

So in return, not sure what the anyone can suggest to you as far as what's up, what you need, or where you are going....

Welcome to the Forum though.

Give more insight on what you are doing and what parts you are looking for. Pics are always a plus on the Forum.

Re: S10 rat rod

iv seen lots of s10 chassis under custom rat rods, more of a hybrid thing. big blocks supercharged, and on s10 chassis cuz of how easy it is to find custom parts like bags and drops, tubing it, notching and all that.

Re: S10 rat rod

No, that is a different truck. It's not as bad as the tan gold one I am referring to but its still not my cup of tea at all. At least the one above looks like it has some legit work put in it and not just slapped together. The one I was thinking of doesnt have a bed on it at all, the front of the cab sits higher than the back of the cab, and the engine sits so high theres no way they can safely drive it.

Re: S10 rat rod

I remember seeing that one a while ago too. I'd never drive the gold one, but the green one looks fun as hell. Minitruckin' Magazine had a story on it a month or two ago.

Sorry I haven't figured out how to post pics yet, but check out this build. We started it back in April and we still have a long way to go. Using lots of old parts to build a Tradional Hot Rod out of a 1st gen S-10.
