While being a working truck, it's still my daily driver/only vehicle and I like what I drive to look nice, sound nice and drive nice . All the bodywork/paint that'll be done to it is only gonna cause me $100 and a case of beer. I have a friend that works in a autobody/paint shop and he's gonna do it for me. The headers and exhaust will cost me the price of materials, as I have another friend who's got his "A" ticket in welding and a friend with his "B" ticket in fab so they're gonna put one together for me as they've been making such things for theirs and other's Skylines, Subarus and Rx7s (Their specialty I guess lol). The taillights will only run me about $70, dash $40 or so, gauges I've yet to look in to and the tinting around $150.
As for the rear decal, I find that with a nicely done up truck it just seems to complete the look and am looking for the right one to finish it.
Thanks for the compliments, it's pretty good for the price and as I've wanted a truck for a while, is my fav. vehicle I've had so far haha

IM happy with the way they hit. Dont listen to too much in the low dept, but what I do listen to (Too Short is one of my classic fav's) They can handle it. Im sure if I built a low tuned ported box instead of to a specific space constraint, they would do much better.. But Im perfectly happy with them and they can give 95% of the average Joe "look at me I have boomin sounds!" a run for their money. If I lose the sound off, I almost always win the race :P

Re: Post Ur 1st Gen Pics Here

Here's my 1991 S10, its my first one. I bought it a little less than a year ago for $600 and I've been working on it with my dad ever since. It has been a fun little DIY project.

There quite a bit of bodywork that had to be done and a lot of front end parts needed to be replaced. So after quite a bit of time and man hours, this is where she stands so far. All primed up and almost ready to be painted Super Gloss Jet Black.

Tell me what you think, I'll post pictures of it finished as soon as it is done

Re: Post Ur 1st Gen Pics Here

I can't understand it, I'm so impressed of all the time and effort you all are putting in your cars! I really wish I hade that kinda character, if I start something I am always wondering away in something else, it's just fun to start something, not to finish it lol (maybe cause its always not goes how you planed)
So fun to see all cars, its a hugh inspriation.. man I sounded kinda gay there didnt I Keep up the good work all!

you might want to remove the window trim instead of just taping it off.. If you are going to do it, do it right the first time

I think it looks good without chrome, the red/black thing going on is kind of nice to see. I'm a little biased though, as I have been systematically dechroming my truck for a couple years now. All that's left is the rear bumper, and only because the bed floor is too rotten to screw on a roll pan like you have.

Tks for your comment. I am a bit old school & had a few fixed up V8's over the years. I never was a big fan of 4 bangers, except fuel costs aren't what they used to be in the 80's & 90's. However seeing sube rally cars since early 90's, they always impressed me. Most 4 bangers you have to rev them right up to go but the Sube pulls extremely hard in low & mid range, with full boost coming on immediately. My truck didn't stand a chance before.....

Ken448 Truck looks real good dude. My S10 was just a street truck & now that I just changed to it to a street/strip truck (new posi rear, drag radials & skinnies, etc), I've recently been trying to lighten it up & gutted interior & removed 780watt Alpine dual V12 amps, custom dual JL 10" sub box (no seat room loss at all), custom lower thick door panels, etc. Actually, I'm not missing stereo (maybe getting old), probably should sell it.

2 more quic pics of the Sube:

So you bought that dime with a full size guy doing the "ROCK-N-ROLL" out the window.
You should have got the one with the midget option, they can get into smaller places.

Looks good, start modifying. Newer grill and rad support, remove visor, when you paint, sand down the wheel well rings and paint them too. Tint the back 3 windows.
