I remember that truck from the cover of Mini Truckin' many years ago. Were you the one who built it or did you buy it?

Re: Post Ur 1st Gen Pics Here

I purchased the truck from the guy who originally built it. I did a total off body restoration on the truck. I left the rag top and the seats but have totally changed everything else in the truck. I even had my body/paint man retouch all of the red paint and feather it in from the graphics up.

When I purchased the truck, it was in need of some serious attention. If you saw the truck back when it was a feature truck, it looks a lot different now. I have added a lot of my own style. New carpet, paint, fiberglass door panels and dash, reworked the motor, cut out in the hood, camper shell, new stereo, and the list goes on.

Yea I noticed some differences on it, it's looking good. That was one of my favorite cover trucks back in the day.

Re: Post Ur 1st Gen Pics Here

well lets see, thats pretty much everything i want to do to my truck minus shaving the bodyline and add frenched 59 caddy lights for the back then tilt the plate the other way and a gmc grille instead of the s10 one. you basically have my dream. bitch. only other thing is i'm undecided on what i want to do for paint scheme....

anyways, fockin clean ass first gen, mad props, serious respect, etc. etc.

Re: Post Ur 1st Gen Pics Here

Thanks for all the compliments on the truck. I have already started receiving medie attention at Heat Wave. I was shot for Minitruckin, and was also offered a shot in Truckin if I wanted it. However Chad with MT said that he would do that feature then pass it on to Truckin to run if they wanted to. Like I said, I really do appreciate all the compliments...it's been a long year and a half to get it where it is, but it seems to all be worth it.

A year and a half isn't very long to build something as nice as yours. I love the blue and silver. Just wondering if those are your factory door panels glassed over or are they metal? I like how they are flat and smooth. Definately deserves a feature.

Re: Post Ur 1st Gen Pics Here

The door panels are all sheetmetal...the only thing I used the factory panels for were to get my outside dimensions. The same goes for the dash and console...all sheetmetal. As for a year and a half, we were gonna try and have it out at showfest which would put it at a year, but oh well....we didn't want to rush anything near the end. I am ready to see what it looks like in print though...it's what I was shooting for, so now I'm anxious to see what my dream looks like in reality..lol!!
