Is that a Blazer rear bumper? Did it bolt right up or what? I was thinking about grabbing a blazer bumper from the junkyard but I wasn't sure if they bolted right up.

Yeah its a blazer bumper. It sort of bolts on with some slight cutting and drilling to the stock pickup bumper mount. You have to get the blazer bumper with the mounts (the inner 2 mounts, you dont use the outer 2) and then bolt the blazer mount to the pickup mount after you cut some of the pickup mount off and drill a few holes. Then you gotta get rid of one of your liscense plate lights and use the other to wire up the blazer liscense plate light. There is only one on the blazer. It might sound a little confusing but its not that hard to figure out. It took my dad and I about 7 hours or so to get it all mounted and we figured it out on our own. That and getting it all lined up.

It looks a million times better than any step bumper and I dont really care for rollpans because you have no protection.

thanks all for the compliments! The rear bumper wasn't that bad, just had to drill new holes and make sure it all was straight and level. I would suggest putting the bumper on before the exaust though, that way you dont have to worry about clearance issues. as for the tires, those are the slicks, haven't launched hard yet, only a 2.035 second 60' so there is much more left in it! Next year i hope to have a stronger rear end as well as a drive shaft that will hold up to the torque. should lift the front wheels off the ground if i don't break!

Thanks, I haven't had it to the dyno with the 383 and larger headers but with the 350 and 1.5" headers it made 399 rwhp and 615 rw ft-lbs or torque. I don't know what to expect with it now, it has a different blower cam, larger headers (1.75" primary 3" collector) and a manual reverse valve body so it might get more power to the ground since the tranny doesn't slip as much as it did before.

Not quite. I am in the process of rebuilding the truck from the frame up. S-10 frames are pretty weak in stock form.

Can I get any more stock???

Right now it's covered in mud. I've been having a little fun with it following a couple heavy rain storms.

It won't be this way much longer. I'm just waiting on an Air Zenith compressor and an SD 3-link before I bag it. After that, a Vortec 5.7 or an LT1 will not be far behind. Before the show season it will also get shaved and have a nice coat of baby blue PPG primer layed down.
