Question Need Y-pipe

First of all, I'm new to the forums.

I've got 2 trucks both with bad y-pipes. One is cracked and one is (severely) dented. I was thinking, maybe someone here has upgraded theirs and could sell me their old stock y-pipe? I called around here and nobody seems to have the parts. I need one y-pipe for each:

1991 2.8 5spd 2wd
1989 4.3 auto 2wd

Thanks guys. If you can help me out please send PM.

Re: Need Y-pipe

If you go to the junk yard and find a Blazer or Jimmy
with a y-pipe, you will find that they are a bit larger
in dia. That would be your best bet for the 4.3..

However Walker still makes y-pipes..example..

Re: Need Y-pipe

yeah my 91 has a custom one from a local exhaust shop and it was a real low price i will look at the receipt again and see

it has a custom y pipe into split duals and big long chrome tips, and long tube type mufflers it all cost 250 bucks altogether, the mufflers costed most of that $ though

Re: Need Y-pipe

Thanks for the info guys. 250 would be cheap for a nice performance piece... but I'm just looking for a replacement. I bought one truck for 600 and the other for 400, it just wouldn't make sense to put that kind of money there... I was thinking more like $25 -50 for a junk piece.

How much should I expect to pay for a junkyard y-pipe?

How much do the Walker parts cost? I'll have to check into those.

The junkyards here don't have any S10 exhaust, maybe I could find a Blazer/Jimmy exhaust...

Thanks again,
Steve
