long bed/short bed ??

Hello again!
I was wondering about the bed length that are possible.
I thought if it is a ext cab, it could only have a short bed.
But now i saw some pics, where it looks like they have long beds....
Or only a visual illusion??
For example these, mostly the red one (1st)seems to be much longer than mine.(3rd)

Re: long bed/short bed ??

its an optical delusion, they didn't make a long bed extended cab, can you imagine trying to park that thing

first pic is a artist rendition and subject to fitting the box
second is a short box
third is your truck

agreed with the above statement.

And parking extended cab long beds, look at the full-size trucks that have both.

Re: long bed/short bed ??

I wouldn't go so far as to say that GM never made one, because don't forget, GM did build a factory first gen 4x4 crew cab with a six foot bed so.........
LOL
You never know!

Re: long bed/short bed ??

OK, then my first idea was right.
It was only because of these pic from the brochure with the red one.
This one looks different to mine, and i don´t know why.
Perhaps it is the black paint under the body modling.

Longbed:

Now compare........
BTW, don't judge by your first picture, that is a rendering, so it's not to scale.

Re: long bed/short bed ??

LOL, ya good luck with that, the only ever produced 1st gen crewcab, I doubt he is going to let go of it easily......... I think he used to be on the forum, he has since repainted the truck and blah blah blah, if someone is curious about the truck, a search will yield several discussions about it.

Re: long bed/short bed ??

I know I can't have it, just something I want, like I want a LS9 in my truck. Never going to happen, but I want it.

I've driven a 96 F-350 crew cab with a long bed. If I can park that, I can park a minitruck. LOL

Re: long bed/short bed ??

YA, at school we just put a 2.2 back into a 94 S10 after turning the crank and putting in new main bearings and rod bearings. I tried to talk my instructer into letting us put an LS9 into it instead........... didn't work..........

Re: long bed/short bed ??

Those are short beds but there not as short as most newer trucks that's why they look longer.
