I've Got A Pretty Nasty Problem
I posted this in the wheels section but got no response. Im not really sure what category this would fall into.
but anywho, here's a chunk of the inside of my rim. ![]() ![]() Im not yet driving my truck, but i was pulling it out of the garage and had to make a sharp turn, i felt it scrub and looked at the ground and found that, and then some. But my A-frame that is rubbing the inside of my rim and tire. my truck is a 90' reg cab slammed 5in. in the front and 6 in the back. im running quarter inch spacers on my rims, and im pretty sure they are 15x8's. i know my front end isn't aligned, so im going to take it to a shop to see if that fixes anything, but if not, do you guys have any ideas how to fix this? and sorry for the double post. |

Re: I've Got A Pretty Nasty Problem
are you sure that's from your rim and not the wheel weight? the pic is kinda bright.

Re: I've Got A Pretty Nasty Problem
Just looks like a wheel weight to me. Bring it to a shop and have it balanced again. Oh yeah, figure out why your rubbing too.

Re: I've Got A Pretty Nasty Problem
go get some 1 inch spacers or 1/2 inch, the problem is your wheel it has the wrong offset for your application

Re: I've Got A Pretty Nasty Problem
The chunk in your hand is the wheel weight, even though you've rubbed the rim, that chunk in your hand is the weight. Agreed, your offset is wrong.

Re: I've Got A Pretty Nasty Problem
Yeah that happened to me a while ago because the wheels were 2 big. and i didn't have adapters! may be ur wheels are also bigger and when u go left or right the wheel touch the frame! so u need to install adapters or spacers.
hope it helps! |

Re: I've Got A Pretty Nasty Problem
the crap on your rim is from the weight being dragged around from getting caught on the control arm. that should scape off the wheel. you are gonna have to use stick weights like mostizzle suggested. maybe if you have a speed shop or rim shop around they could switch you out for rwd wheelz. but then those wheelz are cool looking. paint the centers to match the truck to custoize them even more
