Can i take this into my s10?

I have an '91 s10 and i had seen a instrument cluster on ebay with a tachometer inside.

http://cgi.ebay.de/Tacho-Kombiinstrument-Chevrolet-Chevy-Blazer-S10_W0QQitemZ260281189330QQihZ016QQcategoryZ76079Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Can i use it for my truck or must i change something on the cables of the truck?
Is there a cable for the tachometer in my truck?

I have one of those clusters down stairs. It came out of a pre 89 model that means it had a speedo cable. If you still have the stock tranny in your 91 then that would mean you have a speed sensor. To make it simple I will not work.

So, will it work when i change something?
My cluster in the s10 looks like this on ebay, only without the tachometer.
I mean could i build my speedometer into this one from ebay?
Would then the tachometer work?

Re: Can i take this into my s10?

The back of the cable driven speedos is a bit diffrent then the back of the digital speedos,I meen it can work with some major modifications to the casing and wiring etc etc.....
Anything can be done, depending on skills/time/patience/money!
LOL
IMO,you want a stock looking tach, the short answer is to swap too a full digital face cluster, they have a stock tach in the lower right corner. Then all you have to do is swap pigtails on the dash harness and connect the tach wire and Viola!
Those clusters, for future refrence were used in 86-88 models only, dont ask me why as I have no clue why not after 88,but they didnt,so seeing any of those clusters in the future meens they wont work in any 89+ model w/o modifications.

There was the option for a in dash tach on the trucks with electronic driven speedos. I've found a few of them while I was looking for a cable driven speedo tach cluster.

Re: Can i take this into my s10?

Thanks for your helping.
At first i have ask the seller of the cluster if it has a elektronic speedometer or a cable one.
(perhaps it is the rare one with an electronic...)
If not i think i don't try it to do like Golana, i couldn't get a new one here if it don't work.
And i couldn't get a full digital cluster here that work as well. If one of this where sold, they are very bad or very expensive..
Sometimes i wish i where in USA to get parts of the s10 at every corner...
