asked before
posted this before but im working with a 91 single cab and need to know if anybody has worked with the headliner that LMC truck offeres with the built in speakers ive seen all the first gen pics and most of them look like single cabs with some mods to them and sound upgrades and was just wondering if anyone has done the sound upgrade with this head liner and how diffcult it was

IMHO I think those things are kinda cheesy...but to each their own. I think you'd get better sound than that thing with some 6x9's in the pillar behind your seat
or hell if you really want speakers over your head just stick em up there, the magnets should hold them in place ![]() |

if you want good sound out of a 1st gen install some 6.5 components in some q logic kick panels... just make sure to line the inside with something to deaden the sound.. we did them in my old s10 and they sound great with a amp

So im going to take a guess here and say that nobody realy has used this headliner and just dont like the way it looks and im going to have to go with the nice little trial and error with this sound set up plus one of the things i planed to install in this truck in a cobra CB in this so not the inner speakers will be used for that and the outter for the radio

For your intentions it sounds like an OK plan. If it were strictly for music though, I think it would make for an odd soundstage but I dont really know, it could be just because Im used to a lower sound stage.
