1992 s10

I just got a 92 s10 with a 4.3 tbi and was wondering if there is any good upgrades that i can do as far as performance that do not cost a lot of money, like filter, throttle body spacer and so on? Also is there any thing i should do that would help the engine like this one http://www.sytyarchives.com/howto/vi...p&dir=e ngine. Just little tips or tricks that everybody does? Where can i find this chip that i have heard about for my truck?

Thanks for any help
Kyle

Re: 1992 s10

my bone stock 91 4.3L TBI has a custom aftermarket y pipe and split duals and cherry bombs and it runs stronger than any other 4.3 i have ever had or driven and i have driven and owned and worked on tons and tons and still do for ppl

seems to wake these up alot when you put free flowing exhaust on them

nothing else modified on mine except i took apart the fuel regulator in the throttle unit and moved the platform up higher

Re: 1992 s10

when I free flowed my exhaust i lost power....it might sound more powerful therefore mentally convincing you thats theres more but not really.....i lost alot anywhere over 2500 RPMs......now my 4.3 is runnnin E fan from autozone, 9" Spectre airfilter from autozone, edelbrock aircleaner from junk yard (good find lol), 8mm accel wire from autozone. and im gettin some pretty good power outa it....i did it all mostly for fuel mileage but got some decent power out of it....the only things i wanna do now is MSD coil and E3 plugs

I do not know what the name is all i have ever heard is chip. This is a truck forum so i can only imagine that "that chip" is something that you plug into the computer.
