TJ Flares on an S10?

I'm juggling this idea... I'm going to need flares to make the hard ass town po-po happy, and I refuse to shell out $300+ for the bushwhacker cutouts that I'll probably rip off the truck somehow so I've been looking at alternatives.

Aftermarket TJ flares are cheap, and OEM pull-offs are cheap too. They don't look too bad either. With a little modification I think they wouldn't look too bad on a boxy 1st gen. I've seen some XJ flares on a S10 before and they didn't look too bad.

I don't think it would look too bad. Would you trim the wheel wells to the shape of the flares or try to molest the flares into an s10 shape??

I've thought this as well. I thought about just using two sets of rear tj flares and cutting the s10 fenders to match the flares.

Garden edging would work as a quick fix, but I don't want that shit permanently attached to my truck - I'm not a redneck

The blazer had XJ flares

The more I look at the pictures and look at the wheel arches on the truck, the more I think it has a good possibility of working and looking good; but I'm not too sure about the front flare.

Anyone have a TJ they want to lend me for a day?

You would probably be best running two pairs of rear flares.

Yea its my Blazer that has the XJ flares...which will be hitting the garbage once i can afford some cutout flares. The XJ flares fit like crap....if they were mounted a lil higher on the body then maybe they would be ok but they werent you can see the arch of the factory wheel cut out above them if you look close at the pics of my truck.

No no, we're not rednecks - trust me you don't want to be categorized as one of them. I live in an area with LOTS of rednecks. Until we start ****ing our sisters, cows, sheep, parents and loose most of our teeth along with having less of an education than a 2nd grader; we're not rednecks.
