those bfg's look good on there, and even though it makes it hard to see in the woods, the tint looks good too

Re: The start of Project ZR2

Looks like in this picture yours has the same issue as mine with the carrier. It's warping the back of the quarter panel right where the hinges are.

Pisses me off everytime i look at it.

Re: The start of Project ZR2

yeah I don't have mine on right now cuz it's doing the clunk/rattle noise thats common with these. I also can now see the cars behind me :P I'm thinking of getting a rola roof rack from synergy and throwing a tire up there because, I too have a sound system in the back.

Black what out? All the windows? Dont you think that would affect night time viewing ability? Something he tried to overcome with the addition of such lights mounted on the baja bar which he has posted pictures on the first page.

Re: The start of Project ZR2

get the spare tire relocator/drop kit, or just do what i did and cut the bracket and reweld it about 3.5 inches down.
you will be able to see better out your rear window, and your auto dimming rear view mirror and driver side mirror will work like they were designed to.

thats the best thing i ever did you my blaZeR2

mine has started to warp it a little too. i think its more so caused by allowing the carrier to reach the end of its travel limit. because when it extends all the way out, it will sometimes abruptly stop and bounce back, so i think thats is what caused the flex on the mounting area (well the weight of that 31" tire too)
mines a 99, i bought it in 04 and it didnt have it, but a few times opening it up on the trail or on an incline, the carrier got away from me and open all the way, i started to notice the flex.

Yeah my new 03 blazer has it. First thing I am getting rid of! I hate the spare tire on the rear.

Nice Z man, was trying to find a zr2 blazer but I just ended up getting a LS 4x4 2dr also white. Probably going to buy some clear corners, would like to lift it but with gas prices its questionable.

Yeah, I'm just not too big on body lifts because of how they look and the gap where you see the body. A friend of mine with a full size 6.0 chevy truck (hes got his cranked) was offering to crank my tbars but its not worth the wear to me.

Re: The start of Project ZR2

Some things I did to mine was Cowl hood, Clears, debadge (think of getting a red ZR2 decal for the skid plate), painted grill black, extreme bowtie, and also have a push bar and KC's to go on yet.
