The Resurrection Begins...

pulled the blazer back home today finally.

I'm extremely impressed with my 4.o 6spd v6 Tacoma--this was a big load, over the max recommended trailer weight of 5000lbs...but it did very well.

It did take a couple thousand extra rpms to get up to speed though

anyways here are a few pics:

Oh by the way, If anyone wants any front suspension/brake/drive parts or the rear axle/driveshaft send me a pm. truck only has 58 000km on it and has 4 wheel disc brakes with new pads, and has the G80 rear end with 3.42's in it.

Re: The Resurrection Begins...

haha ok ok guys make a new thread if you're gonna bash on american made in taiwan trucks or japanese american trucks haha.

think I'm going with the BDS 4.5" long arms for the xj with their belly plate with some mods. Definetly going to go through a few cutoff wheels getting the bracketry off the rear haha. gotta get some perches to stick the rear under my leafs.

so far im just doing a shitload of planning and re-planning.

IT WILL BE WORTH IT!

yea but think of this GM is an AMERICAN company and i don't belive any s10 were made in mexico the engines probably were but not the truck but i could be wrong and TOYOTA is a JAP company so think about that.

Re: The Resurrection Begins...

So I didnt get a whole lot of visual progress done the other day and seeing that yesterday was Canada Day, I spent my time getting hammered. lol

but I did get the springs re-hung and the marker light plugs repaired. Also picked up a dash bezel and some fenders from the scrap yard, and tonight i'm picking up a bunch of stuff for $80 (HOOD, trans, xfercase, etc)

Re: The Resurrection Begins...

Update:

-Rear axle is lightly bolted somewhat in position.
-Torched off all the IFS crap off of the frame
-Found some old chevy wheels with 31x10.50's in great shape on them to use for now
-Drank a lot---my buddies wife had his daughter 3 months premature so we had to celebrate because mom and baby are healthy so far!
